Archers on the line at Look Park Sattva Archery

Sattva General Archery Group Sessions run year-round. Each session consists of five 90-minutes multi-generational, multi-level group classes. General group classes are for both beginner and experienced archers. Coaches and Instructors will help you develop a solid foundation to grow your love for archery in a welcoming and professional atmosphere. We teach modern barebow, Olympic style recurve target archery, and target compound. Open to all archers ages 9 – adult.

Choose the day and time that works for you and meet once a week for 5 consecutive weeks (number of weeks may vary).  All First-Time Archers must attend the first class of their session. Missed classes rollover and can be made up at any time during the season (outdoors or indoors).

All equipment provided. All First-Time Archers begin by learning modern barebow. Archers can choose to continue with barebow, or move to Olympic (with a sight) or Compound after their first session - with the approval of their coach.

If you are interested in purchasing your own equipment, we are Western Massachusetts’ only pro shop dedicated to target archery.

Class Times as of 11/1/2023 (may vary)

Tuesdays at 4:00 and 5:30

Thursdays at 4:00 and 5:30

Equipment

Bow, arrows, and quiver provided. There is a one-time equipment fee that covers your armguard, finger tab, and finger sling (which are then yours to keep). You will received your equipment at your first class.

If you own your own equipment, please bring it with you. Your coach will inspect your equipment prior to your first class to make sure it is safe and will meet your needs as an archer in our class.

If you are interested in acquiring your own equipment, we are a full retailer.

Indoor Season

November - March

All classes are held indoors at Sattva Center for Archery Training. Class sizes are 4-12 archers. Sattva runs multiple air purifiers during class and may also open the large windows that line one side of the range to increase air flow.

Outdoor Season

April - October

All classes are held at the Outdoor Range @ Look Memorial Park. Class sizes are 4-12 archers.

Look Park Entry Fee

Look Memorial Park in Florence has a vehicle entry fee. We recommend you purchase a season pass as opposed to paying your entry fee each time. It is more cost effective and gives you the opportunity to visit as often as you like. Go to the Look Park Website to purchase your pass.

Class Size

A Sattva Session is considered a "group" when 3 or more people enroll. When only one or two people enroll in a Session, we still hold class, however the format changes a little. We do this because instruction is more focused and intense, and muscles (and attention spans) get maxed out sooner. In this case, class converts to a private (1 person) or a semi-private (2 people) lesson. Private lessons meet for 2, 1.5 hour classes; semi-private lessons meet for 3, 1.5 hour classes. We've found this benefits archers since you receive more personalized attention (more total hours of direct instruction) in a condensed period of time. We give you free range access for the remaining 2 or 3 weeks.

Missed Classes

All missed classes can be made up at any time during the season (outdoors or indoors). Missed classes expire at the end of the season.

Liability Waiver

Participants in all Sattva classes are required to complete a liability waiver before using our equipment or range.

Wellness Protocols

Masks are optional. There are no vaccination requirements. Please stay home if you don't feel well. We are happy to help you make up your class at any time when you are up for the challenge, and our community can stay healthy. We encourage you to follow all local and CDC health guidelines.

Please contact us if you have any questions.  We love hearing from you!

Online registration for Returning General Archers is open year-round.

If you are a First-Time Archer with Sattva (any level), please join a "First-Time Archer" class or book a private lesson.
