Archers on the line at Look Park Sattva Archery

Sattva General Archery Group Sessions run year-round. Each session consists of 5, 1.5 hour, multi-generational, multi-level group classes. Sattva Sessions are ideal if you want to explore archery for the first time or pursue archery to the next level. Coaches and Instructors will help you develop a solid foundation to grow your love for archery in a welcoming and professional atmosphere. We teach modern barebow, Olympic style recurve target archery, and target compound. Open to all archers ages 9 – adult.

Choose the day and time that works for you and meet once a week for 5 consecutive weeks.  All First-Time Archers must attend the first class of their session. Missed classes rollover and can be made up during any other class time and day.

All equipment provided. All First-Time Archers begin by learning modern barebow. Archers can choose to continue with barebow, or move to Olympic (with a sight) or Compound after their first session - with the approval of their coach.

If you are interested in purchasing your own equipment, we are Western Massachusetts’ only pro shop dedicated to target archery.

Class Times (may vary)

Tuesdays at 4:00 and 5:30

Wednesdays at 4:00 and 5:30

Thursdays at 4:00 and 5:30

Saturdays at 9:00am, 10:30am, and 1:00pm

Bow, arrows, and quiver provided. We ask that all archers own their own armguard and finger tab. There is an optional add-on at check-out where you can purchase what you need. You can also bring $20 in cash to your first class, or pay on your phone using our QR code. If you pay for your armguard and finger tab in advance, they will be at your first class for you to pick up.

If you own your own equipment, please bring it with you. Your coach will inspect your equipment prior to your first class to make sure it is safe and will meet your needs as an archer in our class.

If you are interested in acquiring your own equipment, we are a full retailer. We recommend you begin by watching this video, which will introduce you to our recommended beginner's package: Beginner Backyard Bow Package

Indoor Season

November - March

All classes are held indoors at Sattva Center for Archery Training. Class sizes are 4-12 archers. Sattva runs multiple air purifiers during class and may also open the large windows that line one side of the range to increase air flow.

Outdoor Season

April - October

All classes are held at the Outdoor Range @ Look Memorial Park. Class sizes are 4-12 archers.

Look Park Entry Fee

Look Memorial Park in Florence has a vehicle entry fee. We recommend you purchase a season pass as opposed to paying your entry fee each time. It is more cost effective and gives you the opportunity to visit as often as you like. Go to the Look Park Website to purchase your pass.

Class Size

A Sattva Session is considered a "group" when 3 or more people enroll. When only one or two people enroll in a Session, we still hold class, however the format changes a little. We do this because instruction is more focused and intense, and muscles (and attention spans) get maxed out sooner. In this case, class converts to a private (1 person) or a semi-private (2 people) lesson. Private lessons meet for 2, 1.5 hour classes; semi-private lessons meet for 3, 1.5 hour classes. We've found this benefits archers since you receive more personalized attention (more total hours of direct instruction) in a condensed period of time. We give you free range access for the remaining 2 or 3 weeks.

Missed Classes

All missed classes can be made up at any time during the year. Classes do not expire. During the Indoor Season, please contact us to reserve your make-up. During the Outdoor Season, feel free to show up to any General Archery class time without a reservation.

Liability Waiver

Participants in all Sattva classes are required to complete a liability waiver before using our equipment or range.

COVID-19 Protocol

Please stay home if you don't feel well. We have a very flexible make-up policy and will always work with you to reschedule!
Updated masking policy as of 8/31/22: Masks are required at the Indoor Range and optional at the Outdoor Range.

Please contact us if you have any questions.  We love hearing from you!

Online registration is open year-round using the calendar below.

General Archery classes are $210 for each five-week session plus a one-time equipment fee (you keep your armguard, finger tab, and finger sling). All additional equipment needs are included free of charge.
